Design Concept Award
Community Learning Campus What began as a replacement for a 50-year old rural school developed into the community-learning concept, a rural center of excellence for learning, innovation and partner ship in regional cooperation. The design planners with feedback from the stakeholders of Chinook's Edge School District, Old's College and the community of Old's envisioned a larger educational plan for rural Alberta. This model by focusing on students, community, rural development and life long learning standards may promote and foster economic development and allow rural resources to remain in their local communities. The CLC has reunited enthusiasm for this rural county.
