This school was chosen as a light house award winner because of an extensive and inclusive community planning process that addressed age-appropriate learning; school-within-a-school concepts, severe and complex environmental issues and the celebration and preservation of Native American culture. The plan unified and connected buildings built over a 50 year period that provided for new program space and circulation.
