The diversity of our professional membership is the key to our success. No community can build a school in isolation or without the participative work of all stakeholders. In addition to facility planners, educators, architects, and educational administrators, the Council's membership includes state regulators, engineers, school board members, specialized consultants, product suppliers and manufacturers, who each contribute to the development of quality learning environments. As we continue a tradition of excellence, vision and leadership are the driving forces moving the Council forward. With broad bipartisan support for strengthening our schools, society has united behind raising academic expectations for all children. To that end, the Council continues its aggressive campaign to educate policy makers and legislators about the importance of school buildings in increasing student performance through congressional briefings, forums and personal meetings with legislators, policymakers and opinion setters – worldwide.
