Chapter/Region Mission
The commitment of the professional membership has been the key to the success of CEFPI. We must now build on this tradition by increasing our membership to include sectors now under-represented within the organization. Increasing membership from the communities we serve to include minorities and urban school personnel.

CEFPI-Southeast Prize for Educational Planning Research
The Southeast Region, recognizing the importance of both theory and applied research in educational facility planning, has created the CEFPI-Southeast Prize for Educational Planning Research. The purpose of this prize is to encourage theoretical awareness, educational exchange, thought and research in educational facility planning, both within academic institutions and within the offices of practicing educators, facility planners and architects who participate in these pursuits. The resulting exchange of design research and scholarship will enrich the value and relevance of CEFPI as a leader in educational facility planning.
