The theme of this conference highlights a tour of the Joint Use Facility, North Battleford Comprehensive High
School and North West Regional College. There will be many hands on sessions as well as sessions including
information regarding the Ministry of Education implementing LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental
Design) Silver Certified Standard for major renovation and capital projects, "Going Green" a session on
environmentally friendly caretaking products, FAME (Facility Assets Management Edge), Ministry of Education
Funding and Partnerships, Pest Control and more. A detailed agenda is below.
The annual conference of the CEFPI Saskatchewan Chapter will be held Wednesday to Friday, January 28-30,
2009 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan. The locations of this conference will be at the Gold Ridge Centre
and the Western Development Museum. We have a block of rooms reserved under CEFPI Conference at the Gold
Eagle Lodge, right next to the Gold Ridge Centre.
Delegates attending will be personnel from School Divisions and the Ministry of Education, as well as
Architects, Engineers, Contractors and Suppliers representing the whole spectrum of school facility design,
planning, construction and operations. Registration of 150 to 175 participants is anticipated. CEFPI is
approaching firms that provide products and services to the educational facilities market to help support
this conference.
