2010 Southeast Region Conference March 28-31, 2010 Old South New Beginnings Kiawah Island Golf Resort Kiawah Island, South Carolina Welcome! On behalf of the CEFPI Southeast Region, I would like to invite you to attend Annual Southeast Regional Conference, March 28-31, 2010 at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort in Kiawah Island, SC. This year's theme is "Old South, New Beginnings". The South has made a major transformation in the last 55 years and the emphasis on education and the power that it holds for ALL of our students is both enlightening and exciting. Each year architects, educators and planners are pushing the envelope with regard to design and curriculum that ensures that all of our students obtain the very best education possible and in the very best learning environments. Today's schools are being designed with that in mind. I am proud to be a part of an organization and a region that puts students FIRST and encourages those individuals/organizations that do the same. The seminars that are planned will focus on the latest "cutting edge" design, improving student achievement, and the latest trends in innovative technology. This year's conference is filled with activities that will encourage you to think "outside the box" and see what "New Beginnings" are in store for education/design within the region. In addition, we plan some extra curricular activities that will enable you to enjoy and savor the flavor of the "Old South".
