Why did you join CEFPI?
To learn as much as possible about educational facility planning and design.
What is the major benefit you have gained from being a CEFPI member?
Learning from the experience of other professionals who are actively dealing with the issues on a day-to-day basis, and meeting and making a large number of great new friends.
What do you like most about what you do?
Working with people. Helping others find new solutions and better ways of doing things.
What is your greatest professional accomplishment?
Establishing a great business with incredibly talented and dedicated staff.
Describe the biggest asset you bring to your job:
I am still looking for it . . . Probably recognizing great people and making them part of our team.
What is your second choice as an occupation and why?
I can't think of anything I would rather be doing.
Tell us about the most motivating meeting you have attended:
I can't think of any one more than others, however, I have attended many great meetings that where part of CEFPI programs or conferences.
What is your greatest personal accomplishment?
Finding a wife who would have me and having two great kids.

Spend time with my family.

What would you talk about?
Everything.
Best book you have read
I wouldn't rate it as the best book I have read, but a very good book I recently read is "The Devil in the White City" by Erik Larson. It tells a great true-life story about the Columbian Exposition in Chicago and the people who planned it.
Do you have a favorite quote? What is it?
"I wish I had more time" by me.
Any other comment you would like to make?
CEFPI continues to be a great resource for information and great people. I will always value the great friends I have met at CEFPI.

Why did you join CEFPI?
To broaden my understanding of various trends in education to inform my educational design theory.
What is the major benefit you have gained from being a CEFPI member?
I particularly enjoy the regional and international conferences where for a few days a year, I can focus my attention to school design and experience the host city.
What do you like most about what you do?
I enjoy meeting people and travel.
What is your greatest professional accomplishment?
Building a dynamic architectural practice.
Describe the biggest asset you bring to your job:
Curiosity.
What is your second choice as an occupation and why?
Archeologist. I have always enjoyed history, travel and being outdoors.
Tell us about the most motivating meeting you have attended:
Pre-game talks at my 8 year old son's hockey game.
What is your greatest personal accomplishment?
My relationship with my wife and my two young children and my friends.

Katherine and I have two children; Aidan is 8 years old and Bree is 4 years old.

Be outdoors.

This dinner would take a few days to plan. Guest list will have to follow.

A Walk in the Woods, Bill Bryson.
