Sharing best practices with other planners. Seeing what others are doing in the field.

What do you like most about what you do?
The community discussions – bringing all parties to a consensus.

What is your greatest professional accomplishment?
Becoming a shareholder and vice president of BPLW Architects & Engineers, Inc.

Describe the biggest asset you bring to your job:
Enthusiasm for the field of planning. A strong belief in the planning process.

What is your second choice as an occupation and why?
Author, to utilize the medium to share ideas with many people over many generations.

Tell us about the most motivating meeting you have attended:
Vancouver CEFPI International Annual Conference.

What is your greatest personal accomplishment?
My three children.

Why did you join CEFPI?
CEFPI is a tremendous resource of information – not only through the educational conferences and published papers, but also through the people who are affiliated with it. The Clark County School District is the 4th largest in the country and growing at an astounding pace. It was important for me to stay abreast of new technologies and strategies in k-12 design.

What do you like most about what you do?
As an Architect, I enjoy working with my team, the Clark County School District and Community Leaders and stakeholders to create a legacy of well designed high performance schools for our children.

What is your greatest professional accomplishment?
As the founding partner of Swisher & Hall, it has been gratifying for me to see our firm grow. Our firm growth from 1 to 50 professionals is my greatest professional accomplishment to date.

What is your second choice as an occupation and why?
A painter/ski bum!!

Atlanta convention 2004 – Seeing Reggie come back was truly inspirational.

Samuel Clemens was the greatest American writer of our time and he was a fantastic storyteller. Clemens overcame great personal challenges and adversity making him a very inspirational figure in history.
